Patience in Faith

January 28th, 2016

On a starting note, I like to sound this to your hearing "There is no firm faith outside patience". You are surprised? Yes it's a sincere truth. How did I know this? Isa 28:16b(GNV) says "Faith that is firm is also patient". This in other words tells us that patience is the faith-meter that measures the firmness of our faith. Oops! Please this is too complex for me, can you break it down. Okay, this is what I mean. I mean patience helps us to know how firm or strong our faith is.

In the same vein, I want you to know that it's not how big your faith is that determines the quality of the result you get. It is how firm your faith is that does determine the quality of result you get. Remember the Bible says "If you have faith as small as a mustard seed". This means that patience has a lot to do with our faith.

Take this too "The firmness of faith is not only determined by how soon you see the desired results but also by how long you can wait for the desired results to come." Oops, seems you are speaking in parables! Well it's capital NO, I'm not. Remember Heb 6:15(GNV) tells us that "Abraham was patient and so he received what God had promised." And don't forget that this same Abraham was regarded as the Father of Faith and the Bible said Abraham's blessings is ours but we must believe like Abraham did to acquire those blessings.

There are a lot on my mind seeking for expression but let me start concluding this way, "But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience" - Rom 8:25 (GNV). This therefore tells us that if we must partake in the blessings of Abraham, then we must be patient in faith. Has God promised you something? Or you have been hoping for a better and brighter day? Then you have to be patient because God is not slack concerning His promises. He alone understands the best time and season for the manifestation of those promises. So exercise patience like Abraham did to see quality result like he saw.

Let me leave you with this "How soon you see your expectations come true is not how firm your faith is rather how long you can wait for your expectations to come true is how firm your faith is." So WORK your FAITH in PATIENCE.
